Join MOFF in celebrating the exceptional talent of independent filmmakers working in and from our great state, on August 21 and 22 outdoors on the Eastern Promenade.

ANNOUNCING THE MAINE FILMMAKER SHOWCASE!

Bringing together both established and emerging filmmakers, this special programming is a departure from MOFF's traditional themes, and instead ranges from feature music documentary to short narrative, from conservation-focused stories to interpretive short films, all made in Maine or by Maine filmmakers.

We're pleased and proud to present the following films:

August 21
The PREMIERE of THE GHOST OF PAUL REVERE: GHOSTS NEVER DIE by Windwood Productions

August 22
AGAINST THE ROPES by Smooth Feather
NORTH OF ORDINARY by Sibyl Patten
LITTLE DIPPERS by Michael Mallen
KENNEBEC RISING by Derek Dodge

…And more TBA!

The 2026 Official Selections are here, the schedule is live, and tickets are on sale now!

MOFF is proud to support the Youth Voices Film Festival, happening this Thursday, June 4th at the Bath Skatepark 🛹

Celebrate the end of the school year with us at Maine's largest skatepark as we enjoy curated films about youth, adventure & skateboarding, plus a live skateboarding expression session with talented local skaters and scooter riders!

This event supports the Midcoast Youth Center's mission in providing adventure recreation spaces that help kids, particularly vulnerable youth, find their footing and thrive.

MOFF has been bringing outdoor adventure and conservation films to Mainers where they are since the festival’s very first screening in The Forks back in 2012.

Our team is proud to partner with organizers in over 20 Maine towns to bring MOFF to Mainers where they are this late summer and early fall.

Head to our website to see where MOFF is headed on the Selects Tour following our Portland festival: https://maineoutdoorfilmfestival.com/selects-tour-2026/

Remember, all of these screenings will have a completely different set of films, so be sure to stay tuned for when the films are announced later in the year. See you out there friends!

Are those high 60s in the forecast?!

Soon we'll be reminded of the magic in Maine's summer evenings with pink sunsets, soft grass beneath our bare feet and the smell of salty air as we gather with our community on this extraordinary piece of coastline.

We hope you'll join us in spending time in the very nature that inspires our festival -- as we'll end every night of our 6-day run with an outdoor screening by the water of short adventure and environmental films.

Passes to our 2026 summer festival are available now: https://maineoutdoorfilmfestival.com/2026-passes/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=2026_pass_launch

Filmmakers! MOFF invites you to submit to the first-ever MOFF Pitch 🎥

The MOFF Pitch connects filmmakers with Maine organizations seeking to align their brands with films centered on nature, outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, education, and adventure travel, creating an avenue for meaningful partnerships and providing valuable support for independent filmmakers.

The MOFF Pitch is open to emerging and established filmmakers ages 18 and up. (Note: you do not have to be a Maine filmmaker to qualify). Projects must be in production or post-production. Projects should be 5-30 minutes in length including credit and should focus on character-driven or place-based stories centered on connection to nature, outdoor activity or education, conservation / environment or adventure travel. The winner will be awarded $2,000 to support the completion of their film.
