What separates a good wedding photographer from a great wedding photographer isn’t the Vogue leaves bridal portraits.

It’s timing.
It’s experience.
It’s knowing what you need, when you need it, before you need it.
It’s capturing the silence.
It’s capturing the in between.
It’s making sure that there is room to breathe, room to feel and not have your entire day feel like it’s a show or a display.

The portraits will happen and they will without a doubt be flawless. Ready to hang on the wall forever and show your kids the beauty of your love.

Trying to narrow down a few of these to post felt seemingly impossible. Amanda and Lei’s wedding day is everything that anyone could ever dream of. Surrounded by the most important people in their life they came together to celebrate in the beautiful Oregon sun. Something like this is one that sticks with you for a long time. Everything was beautiful and this type of love is really what I am in this line of work to document. It’s palpable for everyone around it. A love you can feel before you even see it.
