Stumptown Stages is a not-for-profit musical theatre company in residence at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. Since 2005, Stumptown Stages has presented fully staged professional musicals for Portland audiences, with an additional focus on original works. Casey Lebold is returning to Stumptown Stages as "Arvide Abernathy" in Guys and Dolls. Recently, he appeared as "Preacher" in Bonnie & Clyde, "Danny McGuire" in Xanadu with Funhouse, "Mysterious Man" in Into the Woods with Mt Hood Rep and “Colonel Calverley” in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience which Oregon Arts Watch observed ”Lebold awed with his authoritative, resonant voice."

He plays poker, chases impossible golf dreams, builds stairs with his dad, develops real estate, cares too much about clothes, raises two daughters, and occasionally returns to the stage. Credits include the national tours of Altar Boyz and Little Women, Rock of Ages, and Rent. Sky Masterson was bound to find him eventually.

26/27 Technical Position Openings!

Stumptown Stages is accepting applications and scheduling interviews for Scenic Painter, Stage Crew, Follow-Spot Operators, and Child Guardians for our 26/27 Season of ​GUYS AND DOLLS, ANNIE, MEAN GIRLS, and THE COLOR PURPLE. Show dates below.

You can apply for more than one show or position. Get more details and register for an interview at https://bit.ly/STSTechApps.

- Scenic Painter - For GUYS AND DOLLS. Work in our shop to paint sets and other scenic elements. Stipend of $500.

- Stage Crew - Assist with load-in, attend technical and dress rehearsals, and run each performance backstage or in the catwalks. Stipend of $500.

- Follow-Spot Operator - For GUYS AND DOLLS and COLOR PURPLE. Assist with load-in, attend technical and dress rehearsals, and run follow-spot for each performance. Stipend of $500.

- Crew Swing - For ANNIE and COLOR PURPLE. Assist with load and strike. Be on standby to cover any absences by Stage Crew or Follow-Spots during the run of show. Stipend of $100 plus $20 for each substitution.

- Wardrobe Manager/Dresser - For GUYS AND DOLLS, ANNIE, THE COLOR PURPLE. Attend technical / dress rehearsals and performances. Assist cast with changes and make repairs to costumes as needed. Do laundry for washable items weekly. Stipend of $500.00.

- Rehearsal Child Guardian - For ANNIE. Responsible for the supervision and safety of underage cast members during rehearsals. Subject to a background check. Stipend of $300.

- Performance Child Guardian - For ANNIE. Responsible for the supervision and safety of underage cast members during technical and dress rehearsals and performances. Monitor minor cast members backstage and assist in getting to and from dressing rooms and the stage. Subject to a background check. Stipend of $300.

Stumptown Stages acknowledges that an AI image was pulled from a Google free image search and was used in one of our marketing campaigns. No maleintent, just ill-informed/unaware/mistake. We are learning from our mistake and putting new guardrails in place to help us decipher what is an AI generated image and what is not. We encourage all to take the lead of our arts community and to be steadfast in the harm and danger of AI usage. We have since traded out the image with a free illustration in public domain.
