THE AUDIENCE SPEAKS...

"Go see the latest at Twilight. Every single cast member brought it. Kudos to Amanda, who kills it as Diana, she is so dynamic and holds the audience in her hands; Lorelai, whose magnetic stage presence, beautiful voice, and great acting timing in addition to wonderful costume design are all in full power in this production, and Grey who gets to show off comic timing, musical range and just general stage brilliance picking up the role in short timing. Kudos to everyone! And to PDX friends, go see this one!" - S. G.

"This one is something special, folks. Deeply heartfelt, darkly hilarious, painfully incisive, and searingly honest. Don't miss out."
- W.B.

"Next to Normal is my favorite of all time musical because it is deeply truthful. I cried and laughed even more last night at Twilight Theater Company’s courageously bold production. Brava to the immensely talented and audacious cast and crew. I’m still catching my breath." - J.M.

"This was a great show! Cannot recommend it enough! Really good acting, lovely singing (hard to imagine sometimes how they can sing through all that honest emotion) directing, staging/movement, and musical direction. Set and lighting also quite good. Huzzah to all." - R.J.

"The show was tremendous, sharp and on point, full of energy and emotion, on perfect pitch for this Pulitzer prize winning show. Fine directing, a terrific casts full of powerful and accomplished voices. This is one not to miss." - P.S.

"Was such a great show! Had me laughing and then crying. Everyone was so talented..." - K.O.

The theater has always been a place to reflect on the human experience, including the profound cost of service. Today, we pause to honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are deeply grateful for the freedoms we enjoy to create, speak, and gather. Wishing our theater family a meaningful and peaceful Memorial Day. 🎭🇺🇸

Only a couple of hours until our Opening Night Reception; Will you be there?

💊Meet Diana🌙

Amanda Eichsteadt (she/her) is honored to be on stage in her first Twilight show! Originally from Modesto, CA by way of Boston, MA, Amanda is relatively new to the Portland theater scene. You may have seen her recently in Ballad of the Merry Folx as Marian (Torchsong), or in a local Pure Barre studio as a lead teacher. Some other favorite roles include Dorine in Tartuffe, Berthe in Boeing Boeing, and Olive in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She would like to thank her family (you know who you are) for their endless support, and her daughter, Phoebe, without whom this dream role would not be possible.

Garett Taketa (he/him) is thrilled to be making his Portland debut after two years away from the stage, only recently calling the PNW home with his beloved wife. A Hawaii native, his favorite credits include Moritz (Spring Awakening), Luke (Altar Boyz), and Burrs (The Wild Party). He later moved to New York, where he appeared in two Off-Broadway musicals and performed at venues including Joe’s Pub and 54 Below. His travels also took him to Georgia, where he won a Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Award for Best Leading Male as Lennie in Of Mice and Men. Blessed to be a part of such an amazing cast.
