He’s the owner of the management company representing Jayde, and oh boy does he like to flaunt it.

He’ll be making his debut in Issue 2 and it is going to be quite the hit to the dome 😉

This little bundle of joy’s name is Dick, as you have already seen probably.

He’s Jayde’s manager/hype man, kinda like a mix between Paul Bearer and Mickey from Rocky. Recently though his drinking/gambling has gotten a little out of control.

He’s been (for the most part) a loyal business partner with Jayde. His tireless carnie energy and promotion skills make up for what Jayde lacks in personability .

Original idea for the character came from . As for the visual design he is very heavily referenced from Oolong from DBZ. Just drew two circles basically and two little stubby legs coming out of the bottom 😆

It’s damn hot and nobody has AC out here 🥵 Can’t sleep so it turned into a late night grind session.

And our protagonist joins the fray! You may have seen her once or twice before. She’s my first OC that got this whole party started.

I really wanted to do a story about a professionals wrestler as an excuse to have a character powerbomb someone off a skyscraper, so here we are! XD With the help of we were able to actually craft a story around her and ta-da!!

If you read Issue One you’ll know that she was transported to another dimension as a child, grew to be a teenager, then got transported back into to her previous physical form as a child.

She’s a bit antisocial, loves cats and kung fu movies. Has a bit of a drinking problem. Because of her time in the spotlight she spends a fair amount of time avoiding paparazzi.

Issue Two takes her to a new setting so you can look forward to seeing her in action.

Time lapse of some of the pages from Issue Two that is currently in progress. I use the Procreate app on iPad.

Unfortunately bc I duplicate the pages to help save time setting up page borders and such this one moves really fast. In future time lapses it should be a one page focus so you can see how the process goes with a little more detail.

For now, this should give you a small taste of what Issue Two will look like.

Panel close up on Genji from Issue One. He’s a real swell guy once you get to know him.

For the longest time his name was Grant so we keep finding ourselves using Genji/Grant interchangeably.

He figures into Issue Two much more prominently when he and Jayde are forced to team up.

MANGA STYLE 🖤🤍

This is what Issue One might have looked like in traditional manga style. Read right to left.

Obviously some concessions had to be made as the original page was designed reversed. Therefore the SFX are reversed as well.

Also, this was created entirely digitally except for the original pencils. As much as I’d like to learn the traditional method (screen tones etc.) my life does not afford me the time unfortunately ☹️

All things considered though this was a pretty neat experiment!

I do hope that one day we can do a proper translation and adapt for Japanese audiences. Hope everyone is having a great week ✌️

Meet Genji! He is one of two main protagonists in the story alongside the titular Jayde.

Sometimes their methods clash but in the end they have the same goal. He forms a vigilante crime fighting team with his friend and pupil Breha (coming soon!)

Btw, he’s totally NOT at all like Nightwing 😉.
