The Jay County Fairboard, working alongside Jay County 4-H and the Horse & Pony Club, is proud to announce that we are developing plans for a new Horse & Pony barn at the Jay County Fairgrounds!

As part of this project, the Fairboard will be removing Barn F. Once funding is secured, we plan to construct a 14 +/- stall barn that will include a wash rack and provide a dedicated space for our 4-H Horse & Pony exhibitors to use throughout the year.

The initial seed money for this project is coming from the sale of the old horse stalls that were previously used in the indoor riding arena. We are excited to put those proceeds back into a project that directly benefits our 4-H exhibitors and the future of the Jay County Fair.

This project is another great example of the strong partnership between Jay County 4-H and the Jay County Fairboard. Together, we are working to improve our facilities and create better opportunities for the youth of Jay County.

🐴 Interested in helping make this project a reality? Donations are greatly appreciated! Please contact a Jay County Fairboard Director or a member of the Jay County 4-H Council to learn more about how you can contribute.

More details will be shared as plans and fundraising progress!

🏆 WE’RE HONORED TO BE A FINALIST! 🎡❤️
The Jay County Fair is incredibly honored to have been selected as a finalist for the 2026 Jay County Chamber Nonprofit Excellence Award!
While most people see the eight days of Fair each summer, what happens behind the scenes is truly a year-round effort. Our volunteer Fair Board members spend countless hours planning, fundraising, maintaining and improving the grounds, working with sponsors and vendors, booking entertainment, supporting 4-H and youth programs, and doing everything we can to provide events and opportunities for our community.
We are especially proud that this nomination recognizes what the Jay County Fair is really about — COMMUNITY. ❤️
None of what we accomplish would be possible without our Fair Board and Junior Fair Board members, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, 4-H families, local businesses, community partners, and everyone who walks through our gates and supports the Fair year after year.
Being nominated alongside other outstanding Jay County organizations is an honor in itself, and we are extremely thankful to whoever took the time to nominate us!
🗳️ Voting is now open through September 7!
Check out the Jay County Chamber’s original post below to learn more and cast your vote for the 2026 Chamber Awards.
Thank you, Jay County, for continuing to support YOUR Jay County Fair! 🎡🐄🎶🚜🎆
We’re proud of where we’ve been, excited about where we’re going, and grateful to serve this community year-round. ❤️

Make sure you fill out the membership survey!

💥Membership Meeting Update💥

We held our second Jay County Fair membership meeting, and we want to continue hearing from our community as we work through what the future of membership should look like.

Our membership committee met this past week to review the survey results and feedback we have received from the community. One of the clearest takeaways from the survey was that most respondents favored a tiered membership system with different benefit levels.

We want to make sure we are building a membership program that works for our current members, is attractive to new members, and provides meaningful benefits while strengthening the Jay County Fair for years to come.

We are asking for your feedback one more time. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know what you think about the direction we are considering.
