Improvising
28” x 22” x 4” Mixed Media

💡Creating this piece was particularly challenging, reflected in its multiple starts, restarts, and self-reconstruction. Using materials like wood, recycled frames, shells, metal, bronze, wire, and recycled paper clay, it was both a difficult project to execute and a joy to bring to life.

"Supposition of Form"
24 in. high aerated cement sculpture

Initially working in bronze realism, I eventually branched out into various mediums. 'Supposition of Form,' my first abstract piece, marked my entry into the realm of subtractive carving. This work granted me the freedom to explore uncharted creative depths.

Created with recycled materials like wood, steel, and recycled paper clay, this piece embodies the beautiful and inevitable ways nature reclaims what we take from it. Creating this sculpture was a joyful journey, reminding me of our fleeting existence and the preciousness of each moment.

"Supposition of Form"
24 in. high aerated cement sculpture

Beginning in bronze realism, I gradually stretched to work in several mediums. Stepping into the world of subtractive carving, ‘Supposition of Form’ was my first work in abstract form. Granting greater freedom, it carried me to a world that included the depths of the unthought-of.

In taking a piece of this and a piece of that and setting it all together as you see it with a new perspective, it changes what is seen and puts it all together perhaps in a better way. This piece embodies the beauty of transformation and the potential of seeing discarded elements in a new light.
