Dear BPM Community,

As you may have heard - we did it! The amazing arts community of Portland and beyond SHUT DOWN LIVE NATION! Shoutout/kudos/”hell yeah” to Scott and the Maine Music Alliance team for wrangling such a strong response to the predatory venue that almost was… Also shoutout to Moonbats poster shop for making resistance look so damn good.

We were overjoyed to hear BPM mentioned in so many people’s testimonies during public comment at city hall - it’s an amazing thing to be loved!
So what happens now? We did fight off a major corporate monolith, but now we need to shift our focus to supporting all the venues and organizations we feared would be gobbled up by the LN Mafia.

As a THANK YOU to Maine Music Alliance, we’re opening early this Friday 5/1 (@ 5pm) to celebrate this historic and unprecedented and totally amazing win. If you feel strongly about our community, then come hang out! We’ll be collecting donations for MMA, so let’s keep the City Hall momentum going! High Five!
