I’ll be in Bend, Oregon this weekend for Art in the High Desert showing my work in booth 309 in Riverbend park! Friday 5-8, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-4. I will have original paintings and reproductions, come say hi and look at some of the new work.

This piece captures what I saw while backpacking near Brokentop and No Name Lake in the Oregon Cascades. Can’t wait to get back here and paint:)

This piece will be available to see at Arts Council of Lake Oswego What We (Be)Hold Group Show Opening Reception this Friday August 7 from 5:30-7:30pm

Unfortunately I personally will not be able to make it to the Opening, but the good news is that I will be painting in Yosemite! This piece was created last year en plein air while I was teaching a class at May Lake in Yosemite National Park. Enjoy the show:)

As I prepare to leave for Yosemite this week, I am reflecting on last year‘s paintings. This piece was made during Nikki Frumkin Mountain Artist workshop with Yosemite Conservancy up at Cathedral Lakes in Tuolumne Meadows. As a part of her workshop I drew Cathedral Peak more than I normally would have and so I feel like I gained to understanding of its structure. I can’t wait to go back and play in this beautiful place again.

This original painting is available in my online shop. It is framed with black molding and museum glass.

Something new:)
I’ve painted this scene 4 times before, but this time feels different. The snow fields abstracted this landscape in an entirely new way and I couldn’t resist starting an giant new painting even though the list of stuff I need to get done before I leave for Yosemite in a week is LONG. Whoops. 💁🏼‍♀️
