Laughing Lens Photography origins:

*My amazing friend Gina and I can potentially collaborate on larger shoots, events, weddings, etc. Here is a little bit about us! We are Gina Parks and Jenny McKenzie. We've been friends for over half our lives, and loving art together and individually since then. Now we find ourselves both back in our hometown of Portland, Oregon, excited to collaborate on our newest endeavor. Laughing Lens Photography is excited to meet new clients. We're open to accommodate your budget. We love photographing people in their natural habitat; in unique and meaningful settings with natural light. We find joy in helping our clients to feel as comfortable as possible in front of our laughing and accepting lenses.*

Customer Feedback:

"Thank you Jenny. Having your calming presence there just made the day that much more sweet"

"I continue to be floored, astounded and delighted with the wedding photos! I didn't know that it would be through the photos that I "realize" the event, but it is so true! At the wedding itself, there is so much flying by so fast that it is kind of a blur, and I see now that it is through the photographer that the bride really experiences her wedding! I still marvel at how you could be so many places at once, and discretely take such wonderful candid shots! I don't know how you did it."

Congratulations to this beautiful, growing family! Blooming and blossoming, and overflowing with so much love.

(Physically distanced) 😷 photo shoot with one of my oldest friends! Sweet like summer to photograph these dear friends as they paused for a moment amidst a chaotic third trimester to celebrate their family as it is right now, and as it is about to transform to welcome this new baby into the world! Taking maternity photos while I myself am pregnant is also a whole new wonder, very grateful for this experience and wishing you a safe and happy birth and baby 🌲 ☀️

What an honor to photograph Cynthia and Erica’s beautiful October wedding! Having gotten married the month before, I had even more appreciation for all the thoughtful details they included, and for their calmness, sense of humor, and loving, thoughtful and tender care towards one another throughout the day. Thank you for the opportunity to witness your wedding, wishing you so much joy in your marriage, and sweet newlywed time to let it all soak in 💗

Dreamy shots on Baker Beach- not pictured, the dozens of fisherman that surrounded us- thanks for transparent fishing line, and cozy Sunday evenings made for editing photos! Culling and editing takes a lot of time- way more than the actual shoot; sometimes the behind the scenes of photography gets undervalued- support your local photographer and the magic that happens behind the scenes
