Also, a big thank you to the generous bidder who boosted the donation to with an extra $1,500. I am beyond thrilled to get this piece of a favorite character’s story.

Help me build our Comic Con in Washington County!

We are 3 weeks out from our free event , The Prologue, and the initial schedule is on the website! With such a short countdown it is time to introduce our Convention Director and Board Chair, Laura Hoover.

Laura is an Oregon Native who made her way west from Gresham to work in Finance and Operations at Intel before transitioning to Adidas Finance this spring. She had her crash course in Nonprofit Boards at Bag&Baggage Productions where she held the Treasurer role through Covid and transitioned into Board Chair as they reopened and brought in new leadership. She is a lifelong costumer, avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi, and forever behind on Doctor Who. Come say hi to her at our booth at the Hillsboro Farmers' Markets this Saturday or on May 10th.

This isn't about a specific candidate or party but ensuring those who have often been excluded from a voice in our government have one.
