The origins of the Dansback Theatre began in early 2001, when a small group of theatre professionals saw the opportunity to be a driving force in the changing cultural scene of Portland, Oregon. Seeing what little opportunity there was for local actors and a lack of a strong theatrical presence, an idea began to take shape. With hard work and dedication, the group was able to create and develop wh

at is now the most popular and recognized theater organization in the region. Today, the Dansback Theater is a thriving venture which has provided the Portland area with the opportunity to experience the arts, as well as participate in them. The theatre provides up to 15 shows a season, workshops for those interested in the arts, as well as countless other features. The founders of the Dansback Theater are still highly involved within the theatre, and welcome any and all to appreciate the beauty of the arts.
