This show is inspired by a quote from The ABCs of SNL, a limited-run podcast with director Kevin Smith interviewing Jon Lovitz. Lovitz says something along the lines of, "I've never seen Family Guy, but I hear it's a rip-off of The Critic." Surmising that Lovitz is specifically referring to Family Guy's cutaway gags, Mat and Thrasher launch into a discussion on their thoughts on both Family Guy and creator Seth Macfarlane's varied career.
