He draws on his experiences taking many workshops, dancing at jams across the country, and moving with mentors to provide a workshop of social play and mutual discovery.⁠

Our Dj and Sound Healer for the night is Noah Proudfoot (). Asheville North Carolina based singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ Noah Proudfoot blends sacred soundscapes with medicine bass and world music to take dancers on a transformative journey of the heart. 🧡 Weaving live guitar, vocals, and flute- Noah's dance waves are designed to open doorways of connection—within the self, with others, and with the earth. With an ear for dynamic flow and a heart attuned to the moment, he crafts experiences that are both deeply grounding and elevating.

The one & only dynamic maestro of Ecstatic Medicine frequencies, Temple Step Project .step.project is coming back to Cascadia for two nights, Tuesday & Wednesday August 25th & 26th!!!

You can catch Temple Step on Tuesday, August 25th at the ongoing weekly Ecstatic Dance Portland at the Den, PDX. (116 SE Yamhill St.)
& the following evening, Wednesday August 26th Ecstatic Dance Gorge is proud to present our INAUGURAL edition in Hood River . This new monthly ecstatic dance will be an outdoors dance at a very special venue- Killer Tomato Farm (www.killertomatofarm.com), a gorgeous no-till farm, nestled into the foothills of Mt. Hood, with an incredible mountain view, surrounded by orchards, vines, and fruits and vegetables. We will have professional Subs and Sound by Sovereign Productions.
Cost is $20-$30 sliding scale for both!

Join us for our TUESDAY Aug 25th lineup! (& come to the inaugural Gorge Ecstatic Dance on Wednesday August 26th with Temple Step too!)

We will start Tuesdays dance at 7pm with Katrina Cantu offering a Sacred Breath, Wild Body workshop. (.cantu.wellness). Katrina is a 1500-hour certified yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, and sound healing facilitator whose work is rooted in breath, embodiment, and the wisdom of the body. Expect a space that feels intuitive and alive, where movement becomes a doorway into presence, release, and connection. Drawing on years of study in Kriya, Vedic astrology, and subtle energy work, Katrina holds room for you to shed what no longer serves and come home to your body. Come dance your way home.

Our Dj for this week is Temple Step (.step.project). Temple Step is the sonic altar of Benjamin Last — a Melbourne-born, globally-touring electronic music producer, DJ, and ceremonial sound alchemist with over 30 years of experience moving dancefloors and opening hearts. With 150K+ monthly Spotify listeners, 5M+ streams, and an international touring schedule. Rooted in electronic dance music with multicultural influences spanning Middle Eastern, African, Brazilian, and Latin traditions, Temple Step weaves collaborations with world-class artists into a bold world of bass, house, and downtempo that transcends genre. Co-founder of Motiv Music and Motiv Records and producer of 100+ original releases, Temple Step commands the stage with technical mastery and genuine spiritual depth. This will be his third time performing at Ecstatic Dance Portland and it's always one of the best nights of the year!

We will end the evening with a sound healing led by Psy:Lo (). Psy:Lo creates immersive sound bath experiences that blend psychedelic, bass-rich soundscapes with live instrumentation. He produces all of his own music, weaving deep textures, organic tones, and spacious rhythms into a journey designed for rest, presence, and inner exploration. His work invites people to slow down, drop in, and experience sound in a full-body way. Each session offers a gentle space for grounding, release, and reconnection.

A gently guided experience of contact improvisation, consent and boundary empowerment, and healing co-regulation through slow, therapeutic movement and restorative postures. Mindfully share weight, explore nourishing touch, and experience therapeutic somatic expression with yourself and others.

Expect frequency-rich ceremony, deep bass, earthy rhythm, and room for prayer, sweat, laughter, tears, and collective wildness.💥⁠

Signa will close out our evening with a beautiful sound healing journey accompanied by Sequoia. Stay for a reverent, therapeutic sound bath that is centered around gong, and complimented with hand pan and voice. Rest into deeper realms of vibration and the sacred frequencies within. ⁠✨
