I am proud to announce that Soprano, Madeleine Ross won the First Place Award at the Northwest Regional Competition for the prestigious NATSA Singing Artist Award last night and now will compete for the National Prize in New York City in January, 2024!

This day I have a new rose bud. It is an Heirloom Rose that I bought, (not in the budget) in February or as I like to say: In the Bleak Mid-Winter. The rose bud that is blooming today is called Compassion. It almost breaks my heart to see it. It won't last forever, but, it is here now. Life is so like that, isn't it?

Maybe that is why I have always loved live performing and encouraging that in the moment story telling and to encourage people to attend live performances. It is now and then gone.

Aren't I philosophical today? It is because I have started a short rest period from teaching and to celebrate my birthday with friends and family this year. No I am not in some wilderness camping this year, I am here at home waiting for my daughter to arrive from LA. Excited because I am hoping my intuition is correct and I am getting bird bath for my garden. No one will tell me! I will wrangle it out of them.
I am waiting for my Bonus daughter to arrive with her precious family.
