From Page to Stage : The Costumes

When Dracula returns to the stage later this month, new costumes will accompany the production’s new scenic elements, immersing audiences more deeply in Bram Stoker’s gothic story. From the refined silhouettes of London society to the otherworldly forms of Dracula's vampires, the costumes will help differentiate each character, reveal transformations, and become extensions of the choreography itself.

Meet Elliott Evans !

Born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Elliott received his ballet training at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, Canada’s National Ballet School, and The Washington School of Ballet. He is a company dancer in his fifth season with Portland Ballet and also serves on the faculty of .

👑 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱: If I had to choose one it would be delving into the character of Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty! Honestly, dream role as well! 🙂

From Page to Stage : The Sets

In just three weeks Dracula returns to Westbrook Performing Arts Center with stunning new set pieces portraying the dark and dangerous world of Bram Stoker's Gothic novel.

Enjoy a glimpse into the set design process of Ted Simpson, our 2026 Dracula Set Designer. As shown in these scaled models, the story takes shape through distinct scenic elements created for dance and storytelling. Such models allow the artistic team to explore how each setting will establish the atmosphere of the story, while elevating the choreography within the space.

Over the coming weeks, these concept designs will be fully transformed into full-scale sets fabricated by TSDesigns, transporting our audiences from a London apartment, across the countryside by train, and into the heart of Dracula’s castle. See the finished sets onstage October 23-24!
