Tonight’s the night and we want to highlight our local guest before the party. For those of you who don’t know .heap - she is a fierce, longtime contributor, curator and selector to the Portland scene who brings an eclectic range of selection and style to the dance floors she plays.

She is also the talented artist behind our visuals displayed above the bar and has collaborated in a multidisciplinary fashion with the iconic Juliana Huxtable. An artist, dj, and gem of a human. Emoji Heap will be closing it out for us proper.

Emoji Heap is the DJ project of Portland based multimedia artist, Peggy Sisouvong.
Her realm of sound is inspired by her upbringing and nostalgia of pop music, anime and video games, as well as her experience as a South East Asian-American living the Trans experience.
She has opened for the likes of Olof Dreijer, Blue Hawaii, Petal Supply and many more. DJ Emoji Heap is also a member of the dj collective “No control” a prolific music collective consisting of women and trans identifying people.

Artist spotlight:
Ariel Zetina is a Chicago based artist, focusing in music production, deejaying, and writing. Though her music can be considered techno, she takes inspiration from Chicago house, Belizean punta, and the q***r club scene worldwide. These influences can be heard on a number of EP’s, remixes, and in 2022 on her debut album Cyclorama via Local Action Records. She is a resident DJ at the legendary house club Smartbar and co runs the party/mix series Rumors. She is also a playwright, and has had her plays staged around the US. In 2022, she was nominated for Breakthrough DJ-North America by DJ Mag.

We’re back July 20 at for Pride with one of our favorites, the one and only out of Chicago!

Ariel is a phenomenal DJ bleeding the lines between techno, house, and q***r club. A resident of the legendary Smartbar in Chicago and one of the heads behind the Rumor’s party and mix series, Ariel was seen last year playing the closing set at the esteemed Honcho Campout and has brought her cross genre sound to dance floors worldwide.

Supporting with the opening set is Switch resident and promoter of Portland’s hypnotic, dubby techno party Club Liminal, .

Closing out the night and making her long-overdue Switch debut is our dear friend and the amazing artist behind our visuals, .heap.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Switch without our resident hosts, and !

We are so excited to share DJ ScS has joined as the newest resident DJ. We’ve had the honor of playing with ScS a number of times the past year or so, and every time it has been so fun and such a journey. We’re looking forward to many more together and can’t wait to see what she continues to bring to the space and share through her selections. Please give her a warm welcome!!

DJ SCS is influenced by contradiction and complexity. She seamlessly weaves together distinctive sounds and rhythms meant to capture the euphoria and ennui of existence, no matter which genre she pulls from. A true music obsessive, DJ SCS’ eclectic style captures her many Gemini moods. She conveys her infatuation with music through her desire to make you dance.

Alright cuties! Excited to announce that we’re back for another one, this time bringing two of our NY favorites to the decks to melt our brains and mold them back together again. Expect mind altering, portal opening techno all night from UNTER resident VOLVOX and SUSTAIN RELEASE founder AURORA HALAL. We’re honored to have these two joining us and can’t wait to go on this journey with y’all. Warming up the space for us is the talented local DJ SCS. DJ ScS is an UwU collective member and also Switch’s newest resident. She’s made regular appearances with us over this last year or so and we’re super excited to welcome her to be a part of the party. More on that coming :)

Our hosts for the night are Diane Rott, Witch Prince, othrwrld and House of Coco.

Introducing our all star guest DJs for the night, (NYC) and (SEA)!!

Both of these DJs bring a unique flavor to the dance floor and we’re super excited to experience the evolution of energy throughout the night as these two share a bill for the first time.

SPRKLBB is a vinyl-only DJ based in Brooklyn. He currently hosts Bottle Service at Brooklyn's Black Flamingo, Club Moment on NYCs The Lot Radio, and an experimental monthly "MICROWAVE 4 ONE" on London's Soho Radio. He’s a mentee of the NYC house duo The Carry Nation and speaking from experience, he always brings a groove laced with c**t, nostalgia, perfectly selected edits and ~vibes~.

Sharlese will carry us to close. She’s an authority in the goth and the synth and wave world, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of music and dedication to community building that’s cemented herself as one of the west coast’s most fascinating and sought after DJs. Sharlese has put in decades of hard work in the Seattle scene and by day works at the legendary radio station KEXP. She is also a resident of Seattle's underground techno collective, secondnature and additionally serves as a member of the Black Techno Matters collective. A dear friend of ours, this DJ is extremely versatile and will bring us into a sexy, wavey closer that’ll get y’all kissing on the dance floor.

Our show starring residents and and a last minute special addition, starts at 7 this Saturday at Holocene!

We hit capacity last year which made it difficult to get in, so this year we really want to encourage folks to secure their spot at the show & party with a ticket.

We’ve decided on doing an earlier show so theres more space to work with and we can include more performers without compromising the music. If you want to catch these incredible artists, come early!

Pride is right around the corner! We’re so excited for this superstar lineup and can’t wait to celebrate with y’all.

Kevin Aviance is a longtime icon in the dance scene, and a legendary voice on records having been sampled by everyone from MikeQ to Beyoncé.

Lala Benét has been a force in the local scene and an old friend of the Switch family, always delivering high end performances with tact and ease.

Behind the decks we have Seattle’s incredible Sharlese and Portland-born NYC-based SPRKLBB. Both of these individuals are deeply dedicated to their craft and conjure an energy that carry’s the dance floor through catharsis, reflection and ascension.

House of Flora, Sissy Ada and House of Coco are hosting and bringing the vibes, and of course our residents Diane Rott, Witch Prince, othrwrld and Novail will be doing their thing!

Tickets are on sale so secure yours now! This one starts at 7pm for the drag show with Kevin and Lala, DJing 9pm to close. We’ll be releasing a handful of tickets for access after 9pm next week, and of course we’ll have plenty at the door!
