Annual summer concerts in Sellwood sponsored by SMILE, the neighborhood association. Plus an SFFA concert in Sellwood Park on Sat, Aug 15.

In 2026 it will include 6 free weekly neighborhood concerts starting Saturday, July 11 and concluding on August 22.

It's going to get funky this weekend!! This Saturday after the Sellwood Street Fair we are joined by Rich Layton & Tough Town! Rich Layton & Tough Town are keepers of the flame for American roots music. It's high octane swamp rock, country, rockabilly and the h***y tonk blues echoing from an East Texas roadhouse. The band has a signature sound that sits right alongside such eclectic artists as Marty Stuart, Dave Alvin and Lukas Nelson. Each set takes audiences for a ride from Sun Studios to Chess Records, and Muscle Shoals to Bakersfield. Rich's original songs fit seamlessly into the mix, weaving his Gulf Coast roots through tales of rock and roll redemption, harmonica-fueled and swampified.

This Saturday we welcome The Cider Janes to the best neighborhood in Portland! The Cider Janes was born from a longing to make music and human connection during the COVID19 pandemic. These three friends turned socially-distanced, pajama-wearing, cider-drinking get-togethers into harmony-filled, soul-nourishing sound sessions. Naomi LaViolette, Aliyih Bristol and Heather Schrock are the three women who weave their distinct voices together to bring you a combination of unforgettable, haunting, and toe-tapping covers and originals that will include a little something for everyone.

Coming to Sellwood this Saturday we welcome The Bylines to continue our free Summer Music series! The Bylines are lovers of the Great American Songbook and cover everything from Cole Porter to Adele, from Randy Newman to Regina Spektor. Their original tunes are influenced by the writers and performers that have shaped popular music throughout the last century and their on-stage chemistry is addictively charismatic.
