🍠 Join us this August at Building Five for a series of thought-provoking performances by artist Michael Reinsch, where poetry, installation, and performance converge to explore themes of labor, growth, excess, and human experience.

Fake Potato
A raised garden bed will be planted with fake potatoes as Reinsch composes a poem on the fly about laziness.

A Plant Will Tend to Grow in the Direction of Light
Drawing from The Audacity of Hope, Reinsch will perform an improvised poem while planting 24 illuminated flashlights in a grow box, leaving them to slowly fade.

Public Drunkenness
Wearing a reclaimed whiskey barrel, Reinsch presents a live improvised poem reflecting on alcohol culture, advertising, personal memories, addiction, and loss.

Public Drunkenness & Closing Reception
Join us for the exhibition’s closing reception as Reinsch reprises Public Drunkenness in a final performance.
