Happy Sunday and end of May! 🌞🌹Ecstatic Dance Portland is warming us up to summer every Tuesday at the Den this month. Here’s what you can look forward to this week on June 2nd….
Karin Edwards ( ) will start the evening at 7:00pm with an Aquatic Embodiment workshop. Let the fluid movements of marine creatures inspire you to move! As we embody the jellyfish, the anemone, and the elegant nudibranch, we find a slower pace. Video projections will transform our space into an aquatic garden. Music that elicits the ocean will be interspersed with gentle verbal invitations. You are invited to wear clothing in ocean tones or flowing garments if that helps you get into the spirit, or simply come as you are.🪼🪸
DJ will be will be weaving global sounds with scratch techniques on fresh beats that span continents, creating sonic journeys that honor tradition while pushing forward.
will close out the evening with the healing tools of breath, voice, rhythm, coregulation, self-expression, and witnessing! In service to this deep medicine, it is Raynsong’s joy and honor to curate potent, tender spaces for song to be shared.
