In a new interview with Fanfare, Resonance Ensemble founder and Artistic Director Katherine FitzGibbon talks about the making of Safe Harbor, the composers and stories behind the music, and why Resonance believes choral music can be a catalyst for connection and action.

From REflect to REimagine, Kathy goes deep on the ideas behind the album and the music Resonance has commissioned since shifting its mission toward creating concerts that spark meaningful social change.

“We think of the music here as a catalyst for action.”

All the feels.
We’re still buzzing from the glorious fun of Brunch & Bad Choices. Thank you to all our amazing friends who showed up in their PJ’s to laugh, celebrate Resonance, and lift up the incredible artists who make our work possible (you all nailed it). Seeing our longtime supporters and meeting so many new friends who joined us for the first time was pure joy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who opened their hearts (and wallets!) to champion new, vital music that speaks to the world we share.

Your generosity blew us away — truly. And while this momentum is powerful, our work continues. If you couldn’t attend, there’s still time to make a donation or grab a subscription and join us for all the exhilaration and feels ahead. New commissions, award‑winning compositions, and artistic partnerships that SHIFT how we see the world are on the horizon.

A huge shoutout to our inimitable hostess, the divine diva par excellence Poison Waters, for ringleading the exquisite mayhem and beauty. So many highlights to share. If you have photos from the event, drop them in the comments — we’d love to see your moments.

🚨 Portland, it’s go time. 🚨
Our first show of the season — Brunch & Bad Choices— is less than a week away, and tickets are just $50. But here’s the real move: Season subscriptions start at only $99.
For basically the cost of one fabulously chaotic brunch show, you could see the entire season — the joy, the risk taking, the new voices, the big feelings, the community you actually want to spend time with.
If you’re craving connection, creativity, and a reason to step away from the noise, Resonance’s Season 18 is your built in wellness plan. Music that restores you. Stories that expand you. A community that welcomes you.
Don’t just go to one show. See the whole season. Subscriptions are the best seats, the best value, and the best way to support the art you love.
Don't miss out!!! Grab yours today and SHIFT into gear.
