On August 26, Bar Carlo is joining PAGA LO QUE PUEDAS / PAY WHAT YOU CAN / Pay What You Can, a global restaurant initiative started by Masala y Maíz, a celebrated restaurant in Mexico City.

This year, 109 restaurants across 61 cities and 14 countries are taking part, sharing a belief in trust, generosity, access, and hospitality.

For one day, eat what you’d like, enjoy the full Bar Carlo experience, and pay what you’re able at the end of your meal. No proof of need, no questions, no judgment. Everyone gets the same food, the same hospitality, and a seat at the table.

We’re debuting Golden Hour at Bar Carlo!

We’re staying open later to make more room for our community to gather, connect, and recharge. Golden Hour is a happy hour, created with BIPOC and gender-expansive folks in mind.
The contributions of our communities to art, public service, and every corner of our city are immeasurable. Golden Hour is our way of creating more space for those relationships, ideas, and collaborations to grow.

We think the spaces we go to rest can help shape the work we do. We hope Golden Hour becomes a place where you meet a friend for a bite, dream up your next project over margaritas, find collaborators, organize, celebrate, or simply take a breath in a room where you feel welcome.
