Yesterday i got the call. Today the messages and posts already started.
I dont normally do alot of farewell posts. This one i feel i need to.
All day i reminisced about the relationship i built with you.
I remember when we first started speaking and how our relationship grew when I made the decision to come to Headstrong..
I walked into your shop the whole place was carpeted and had 6 by 6 vinyl cut outs for each station. The back wall a brighter calming green I knew i was home.
You held out your arms to me and my family welcoming me into the shop and your family.
Every day we grinded together over the last few years. Your energy was what the shop was. It was a piece of you. The vibes you put into every detail from hanging pictures to making sure it was stock piled with hi chews and things to help make the experience was something clients always talked about and smiled about.
The shop was something you created.
Your ability to teach and guide sometimes asking me to let you show me as you put some gloves on to work on my client.
Im grateful for you.
You always spoke about blessings coming and just keep tattooing no matter lifes struggles.
Just keep tattooing was your answer to everything...
I watched as you opened your doors to so many people helping as many people as you could. Watched many artists come and you pour energy into. Quite a few crunchy situations along the way regardless you gave a piece of you.
You taught me alot over the years and never held back. Its what I respected about you. It was never to talk down to or berate it was a lesson. You respected everyone.
These last few months have been really hard as I watched the system knock you off your path. I watched alot of change. I feel like this last year we got closer i also watched you smile more in the face of obstacles as well as struggles.
My family loves you and our hearts are forever a piece of you as alot of clients and family are grieving dealing with loss in different ways.
You will forever be honored and thought of as i continue my tattoo career and through out situations in life.
Many will carry you with them brother.
