The Adventures of Dex Dixon: Paranormal Dick, The Musical The Adventures of Dex Dixon is a Film Noir, Horror, Comedy Adventure filled with puns, guns, vixens, vamps, monsters, music, and mayhem and yes, Puppets!

The Story:
Dex Dixon, a hard-boiled paranormal investigator at the beginning of the end of his career, lives in Our Fair City, a gritty urban jungle just across the murky river from Night Side, a city populated by the movie monsters of old. It’s been ten years since Dex was exiled from Night Side, when a mysterious woman arrives requiring his special skills and he finds himself returning to his ol

d haunts, and an old flame. Dex Dixon is a screenplay which was originally designed to lampoon the cliff-hanger serials of yesteryear, mash them up with film noir/pulp detective stories and the popular Universal movie monsters to create a unique storyline. The screenplay has been very well received, but the complexity of the story, makeup and prop requirements, have made it very hard to find financing. After sharing the script with peers and producers, we shot the first Episode as a proof of concept and pitch tool which has been featured at area comic conventions and genre festivals. We have been developing this piece for a long time, and now, following the success we had with “Varsity Cheerleaders” we felt it was time that Dex Dixon got his moment to shine. The Adventures of Dex Dixon is a Film Noir, Horror, Comedy Musical filled with puns, guns, vixens, vamps, monsters, music, and mayhem and yes, Puppets!

As many of you know, I have been working on a new adventure with my game store so I’ve had to suspend much of my Theatre endeavors. however I am fortunate enough to have been asked to direct a stage reading for the fertile ground festival of a play by my friend, Mike Westby… Featuring some of my favorite people.
