My brand new shop, Enerjahtics, might be Portland's *only* ceremonial tattoo shop. Opened on Summer solstice of 2014, within the Manife'Station art collective, as an alternative to the rock n' roll shops that seem to rule the scene, this small and private museum-like space has one station with one artist (me) who will focus entirely on your sacred art piece as the intentional ritual of body modifi

cation that it is. We will create the environment in which you can come away with an initiation; a powerful experience that will help you to embody the meaning in your new tattoo and the symbolism therein. Whether you have hundreds of tattoos or none, I understand what it means to create a ceremony and cultivate majik through the use of our thoughts, words, and actions. With this in mind, first tattoos are one of my specialties, helping you to design not just an image but also a memorable right of passage for yourself. You can cry, you can laugh, you can pray, you can make sacred offerings, we can even make a fire outside first if you like. Jai!!!

I woke up like this, swear to god. Spring time in the bonsai nursery is one of the best times, along with summer and fall. And also winter!! This little spirea was especially beautyfulllll today. Im so thankful for these little friends! I hang with plants way more often that i do with people these days, for better or worse. Hopefully that will change very swooon. For now im content. 🌱💚

Here is part two of the previous post: this is the awesome mama of the awesome man who came for tattoo ceremony with me the other day. She chose two sacred designs – the deathly hollows symbol from harry potter to represent all of the things that it does: strength and courage and loyalty and perseverance, etc. The second design is a tiny little Zen circle brushstroke to represent all of the things that it does, basically the Zen and the Tao which encompasses everything and nothing. That's a pretty legit combination for the wrists in my opinion . 💎💎💎

So this gentle man apparently found my art studio by taking an entheogenic walk around our neighborhood and just saw the sign (painted by ninasky, ) and googled the name of my spot and found my website and got in touch and came to see me for some sacred art work / heart work!!! But yo not only did he come for the tattoo ceremony but he brought his mama with him who was equally awesome!!! A family tattoo party the other night that ended in lots of hugs and gratitude all around. I think thats how every tat experience really could be. Joy and high vibes in addition to some cool artwork.

For what its worth... of course real individual tattoo sensation depends on our own state of mind; our Zen in any given moment; our breath and consciousness and mindfulness; how much sleep we had the night before; what we had to eat/drink that day; our emotional space; and our spiritual fortitude.
