Saltfire Theatre Saltfire is Port Townsend’s community theatre, offering opportunities for locals to create and experience meaningful, relevant and engaging theatre.

Saltfire offers opportunities for local actors, designers and directors to create meaningful, relevant, and engaging live theatre for local audiences. In our inaugural production (Shakespeare’s As You Like It, summer 2022), our cast ranged in age from 16 to 72; over 30 Jefferson County actors, designers and volunteers were directly involved in the production.

207 people and a wider age range than any of our shows to date (little-littles giggling in the audience is the best!)

RAIN POLICY FOR OUTDOOR SHOWS:
In the case of light rain, the performance will continue as planned. With sustained or heavy rain we will cancel the performance. Email [email protected] to use your tickets another night or for another show, or to request a refund.

We will make a decision for tonight's (8/22) performance of Wind in the Willows by 5:15 pm - forecast currently looks like rain will end before 4pm.

So glad Zach NeSmith’s diverse character work got a nod:

“I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention the delightful character work of NeSmith; his Snake was especially good, though the scene with him as a Scottish Water Rat trying to lure Rat into a high seas adventure particularly resonated with me. If I was Rat, I would have been down the docks in a heartbeat, but alas, sometimes friendship calls stronger than adventure, and so Rat joins the fight to save Toad Hall, and, ultimately, the day.”
