But dance was never meant to be a race.
The goal isn't to become someone else.

It's to become more of yourself.
Keep showing up.
Keep trying.

What an incredible 19th Annual Dance Showcase we had yesterday!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing moms and volunteers who gave their time, energy, and support behind the scenes. We truly could not do this without you, and your dedication helps make every moment run smoothly for our dancers. 🥰

To our dancers—what a performance. You all stepped on stage with confidence, passion, and hard work that truly showed. I could not be more proud of each and every one of you for everything you accomplished this season. You brought the stage to life in the most incredible way. 🥰🤩

As we celebrate the success of our showcase, we are already moving full speed ahead into an exciting summer starting tomorrow! We have camp, intensive training, Nationals rehearsals, and summer classes kicking off—there is something for everyone here at XDC.

✨ Special Recognition for Lilly ✨

Tonight, I want to take a moment to recognize an incredible accomplishment by Lilly Downing.

Due to an oversight on my part during our recital, Lilly's 5-Year Award was not presented as it should have been. I sincerely apologize for that mistake and want to make sure she receives the recognition she has absolutely earned.

For five years, Lilly has been a valued part of our dance family. Her dedication, hard work, growth, and commitment to dance have been a joy to watch, and we are so proud of everything she has accomplished both on and off the stage.

Lilly, thank you for your years of enthusiasm, perseverance, and love for dance. You did a beautiful job at tonight's recital, and you should be incredibly proud of yourself. We are honored to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to many more wonderful memories ahead.

Time is almost here!

Today marks the final official day of classes for our 19th season at XDC. 💛

As this season comes to a close and our dancers prepare to take the BIG stage tomorrow, I can't help but reflect on all the incredible memories we've made together this year. The countless hours of training, the laughter, the friendships, the challenges overcome, the victories celebrated, and the growth we've witnessed in every single dancer.

Tonight, after the last class ends and the final dancer walks out of the studio, there will be a silence that only dance teachers truly understand. A quiet moment where the music stops, the mirrors stand still, and the studio rests. That silence is the calm before the storm.

Because tomorrow is the BIG DAY.

Tomorrow, our XDC dancers take the stage and showcase a year's worth of hard work, dedication, passion, and perseverance. We couldn't be more excited, more proud, or more prepared to watch them shine under those bright lights.

If you're attending recital, please share any photos you capture throughout the day! I know I'll be running around and won't have many opportunities to take pictures myself, so I'd love to see the memories through your eyes.

While recital marks the end of one chapter, the next one begins almost immediately. Monday kicks off our Summer Programs, including CAMP, INTENSIVES, NATIONALS REHEARSALS, and SUMMER CLASSES. The momentum never stops at XDC!

But for now, our focus is on tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to one last night of classes, an early morning curtain call, and a full day celebrating everything our dancers have accomplished this season.

Soak it all in. Take the pictures. Enjoy every moment. These memories pass by far too quickly, and before we know it, we'll be doing it all over again.

It's hard to believe we're only 1.5 weeks away from recital and just one month away from an exciting Nationals adventure! The season has flown by, and we couldn't be more proud of everything these dancers have accomplished.
