It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend Joey Jernigan.

Joey was much more than a longtime sponsor and supporter of the Forgotten Music Festival. He was a dear friend and someone who believed in this festival and our community year after year. His generosity and continued support meant more to us than we could ever adequately express.

Our hearts are with Lori Jernigan, Joey’s family, friends, and everyone that loved him during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace 🙏

It is with profound sadness that the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce shares the passing of our dear friend, Joey Jernigan.

Joey was an important part of our Chamber family. He served on our Board of Directors, was a valued Chamber member, a generous sponsor of many of our community events, and a steadfast supporter of our Chamber and the community we all love.

But to us, Joey was so much more than the roles he held or the support he gave. He was our friend, and we loved him dearly.

Joey gave so much of himself to this community, and his friendship, generosity, and presence will be deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

We ask our Gulf County community to please keep his wife Lori and Joey’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
