Is it just us, or does a wine tasting at a local art gallery while a Lowcountry thunderstorm rolls in sound like the perfect way to spend a Friday evening? 😏🌧️🍷 If that doesn’t convince you… it’s National Red Wine Day, and we believe that’s a cause worth celebrating!

Alongside a sunny, coastal lineup of Chenin from South Africa, red and white Vinho Verdes from Portugal, and a Grillo from Sicily, we’ve added an extra bonus red to the tasting in honor of the holiday. Friday ‘Uncorked’ runs from 5–7 tonight at The Shed!

Capturing the heart of the Lowcountry.🍤🌊 We’re thrilled to welcome back Steve Hessler to the Windhorse Plein Air Invitational!

Based in Floyd, VA, Steve’s work is driven by a deep love for working boats, coastal waters, and scenes that catch his eye in an instant. His dreamy, dockside oil paintings speak directly to the heart of Port Royal, often featuring shrimp boats, quiet docks, and golden marsh grass. You can find his work currently on the walls at Windhorse, and again at this year’s Plein Air!

Starting in August, we’ll be gathering on the Third Thursday of each month for our newly refreshed Wine Club Social. This new evening gives us even more opportunity to slow down, discover great wines together, and connect with our wonderful community of members.

Here’s what to look forward to each month with our refreshed wine club:
🌺 4 Featured Wines: Learn the stories behind the producers, regions, and varietals.
🌺 More Flexibility: Two wines are pre-selected for your monthly allotment, and you get to pick your third bottle from the remaining two selections!
🌺 Bring a Friend: Members can bring a guest for just $20.

How to Join 🍷 You can sign up through our website (Marketplace > Wine Club), in person at the shop, or by giving us a call.

Friday ‘Uncorked’ is back tonight from 5-7pm at the shed!🥂 Tonight’s tasting is a little less about a single grape or region and more about the people behind the wines—and the idea that great wine doesn’t have to fit neatly into a box. From biodynamic Grüner Veltliner in Austria’s Kamptal, to Podere Le Ripi’s Trebbiano & Malvasia Canna Torta, fermented and aged in terracotta and concrete, to Illahe’s cool-climate Oregon Viognier, and Field Recordings’ fresh, playful Paso Robles Cabernet Franc, these four wines take us across four very different places and approaches. The common thread? Curiosity, freshness, and producers willing to let their vineyards and grapes speak in their own language.🌿🍷

Back for round two! 🎨 We’re thrilled to welcome Anne McCall Wilson (Anne McCall Wilson) back to the Windhorse Plein Air Invitational!

Based right here in Port Royal, SC, Anne is an abstract painter, energy medicine practitioner, and co-owner of Stone Wilson Gallery at Susan Stone. Her art journey began as a healing, soulful shift—and today, her vibrant work infuses every canvas with pure energy and joy. We can’t wait to see what she creates this year. 🖌️💫
