We are aware of rumors and misinformation circulating regarding an upcoming private event being held at SpinNations Skating Center.
We would like to clarify the facts:
SpinNations has rented our facility to a local nudist resort for a private roller skating event. This is a closed, private rental and is NOT open to the general public. Private, adult-oriented events are hosted at a wide variety of venues, including hotels, bowling alleys, cruise ships, movie theaters, and similar facilities. This type of private, age-restricted rental is not unusual or outside the realm of standard venue operations.
We have spoken directly with the event organizer regarding confusion surrounding the event registration. The organizer confirmed that the reference to the event being “family friendly” was made in error and does not apply to this event. This is a ticketed event only, and valid identification will be required for all attendees. No one under the age of 18 will be admitted.
Per the rental agreement, ALL participants must be 18 years of age or older. No minors will be permitted to attend under any circumstances.
This event is NOT family-oriented programming and will take place in a completely private facility. SpinNations has no public-facing windows, and the event will not be visible to the public.
The organization renting the facility is responsible for organizing, promoting, and managing all aspects of the event. SpinNations is simply providing the venue under a private rental agreement, similar to how we provide our facility for many different private events throughout the year.
Additionally, all SpinNations staff members working during this event are 18 years of age or older and have chosen to work the event on a completely voluntary basis.
We respect that not every event is for every individual. However, we also believe in respecting the rights of private organizations to host legal, age-restricted events in a private setting. Our focus remains on providing a safe, professional environment for all guests and organizations that utilize our facility.
