So….. I unexpectedly gave birth last night 🤷🏼‍♂️

Please welcome the newest (and first) members of the Haus of Joy! Queen of the Seas 42 Aquata Joy DuJour (Solomon) and Kyl Joy DuJour!

I met these beautiful souls at the Seas Pageant last July and felt an immediate connection with them, and found out last night that they felt the same. Aquatas drag is absolutely hellbent camp (check), she is consistently looking to grow and improve (check and check), and she carries a rare vulnerability as an artist that makes room for true connection with her audience. Checkmate bitch. Kyl carries a the air of her grounding rod, and watching them tackle the behemoth that is drag as a team resonated with both me and Sean. Truth be told I’ve been thinking of asking her to be my daughter for some time, but didn’t plan on asking while off duty and out of drag 🤣 But when the stars align, right? All I can think of in retrospect is Danny Devito’s line in Silverlinings Playbook. “When life reaches out to you with a moment like this, it’s a sin to not reach back.”

Aquata and Kyl, I can’t promise to be a perfect drag mother. Parents always learn from their first, and truth be told there are so many things I’m still learning. But I will be here with 110% of my abilities, and I can’t wait to see you grow. We can’t do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good we can do. And I see so much goodness in your art and in your hearts. I am deeply honored to share my name with you, and can’t wait to see what CHAOS we unleash! Love you both so much!

Y’all, give it UP for my drag daughter and drag…. Son in law? Idk we didn’t discuss it 😅

Y’all!!!!! It’s coming soon! In less than 5 weeks this incredible year is over and someone else takes the crown and the reins.

Sometime soon, I’ll share more in depth what being Miss Gay Seattle 59 has meant to me, and the progress and challenges and GROWTH this has brought on. But for now, there are too many moving parts and my brain is soup so I’ll just say this…

November 10th, 2024 will be a day I remember for a lifetime, and if you can join us for one HELL of a show I’ll be over the moon! But if you can’t make it, please consider buying an ad in our Diamond Jubilee commemorative program.

Alright y’all, wanna know where to catch Victoria? Best get ready for a crazy weekend!!!!

Friday night we have Spectacular! SPOOKtqcular at DFP Port Orchard for South Kitsap’s ONLY drag show! Come celebrate the season with your favorite queens and get you spooky on.

Saturday am we’re doing brunch at Sirens for our Walk of Shame Drag Brunch! I mean, blue waffles and some killer food?! How could you not wanna be there?!?!!! (The biscuits and gravy alone will have you crying!) Go one, GIT! (Yourselves to Sirens and fawn over the new layout!)

And on Sunday, come meet those vying to be our next Gay Seattles at the Gay Seattle Introduction of Candidates show! Allie and I have had an AMAZING year, and can’t wait to reveal to you who the next candidates are!
