Nice day on the water! Plenty of triggers, red snappers, a few short cobia and plenty of sharks. We also managed to get 2 (6-8lbs each) mangroves to the boat.

RED SNAPPER UPDATE!

Today, Governor DeSantis announced plans for the 2026 State Management of Atlantic Red Snapper in federal waters.

The 2026 summer season will begin on May 22 and end June 30, and the fall season will be three-day fishing weekends in October.

The FWC and the state of Florida applied for an exempted fishing permit as an effort to gather more data and bring Florida one step closer to state management for Red Snapper.

Thank you to our Governor and FWC Marine Fisheries Team for their continued leadership and commitment to gaining access to a healthy South Atlantic Red Snapper.
