✨ Sometimes the best part of your job is the memories you get to make along the way. ✨

Working at Bluewater Convention Center means I get to meet some incredible people, experience unique events, and see some pretty amazing things. But getting to share those experiences with my daughter? That tops it all. 💙

My daughter and I share a love for Twisted Wonderland, and this weekend we had the chance to meet Paul Castro Jr., one of the talented voice actors from the game! 🎙️✨ Getting this picture together was such a special moment for both of us.

As parents, finding those little things that bridge the gap between us and our kids is so important. Sometimes it’s a game, a movie, a favorite character, or an experience you can enjoy together. And conventions like Ozocukon make those connections possible.

That’s one of the things I love most about what we do here at Bluewater Convention Center. We get to bring people together. Whether it’s an anime convention, a wedding, a conference, a fundraiser, or a community event, there’s something really special about creating a space where people can connect, share experiences, and make memories together. 💙

And sometimes, those connections happen in ways you never expected. A mom and her daughter bonding over a game. A shared love for a character. A photo with someone who helped bring that world to life. Little moments that become memories.

I’m lucky to experience so many amazing things through my job, but getting to experience them with my daughter will always be my favorite part. 🥹💙

When your waterfront rehearsal comes with a 1,000-foot backdrop! 📣🚢

We’re excited to welcome Varsity Spirit Camp to the Blue Water Convention Center this week!

While the Oakland University cheer team was practicing outside on our waterfront patio today, the 1,004-foot Edwin H. Gott happened to pass by on the St. Clair River — just another day with one of the best views in Port Huron. ❤️

Chef Dwight Porter is making omelettes at the 2026 MTPA Conference. I asked him if it was true that making an omelette is often considered one of the final tests in culinary school because it’s so hard. His response “Not for me” .. as he casually flips the perfect omelette. There is some truth to the question. The classic French omelette has long been used as a test of chef’s technique because, in just a minute or two, it demonstrates 5 essential skills. Simple to order. Much harder to master.
