Our incredible competition dancers are selling beautiful mum plants to help raise money for their upcoming season. Every dollar they earn will go directly toward their competition fees!

We have an exceptional group of young ladies this year. They are hardworking, committed, and dedicated to learning clean, high-quality routines—all taught right here, in-house, at The Dance Academy.

What a team we have this year!

Not only are these girls devoted to their coach, their coach is equally devoted to helping each of them grow, improve, and become the very best dancers they can be.
We aren’t just a competition team—we are a dance family. We encourage one another, work hard together, and celebrate every accomplishment along the way.

Adaptive Dance!!!
Join us Thursday's beginning Sept. 17th, at 4:30 PM

This class is designed to meet each dancer where they are!

At The Dance Academy, we believe the joy of dance belongs to EVERYONE.

Our Adaptive Dance program which began back in 2018 (our studio paved the way to let all know how much a beautiful class like this was needed... everywhere), it's such a welcoming and supportive class created for dancers with disabilities and differing abilities. Whether a dancer uses a wheelchair, walker, has a visual impairment, or needs other adaptations or assistance, we will work to make dance accessible, comfortable, and so much FUN!
Move to the music
Build confidence
Make friends
Express yourself
And experience the JOY of performing! (This class will end in a beautiful spring recital!!)

Because every dancer may move differently…
but EVERYONE can dance. 💕

Meet our adaptive teachers....

Ms. Lindsey!! Lindsey started dancing when she was 2 years old, and continued here at The Dance Academy for 12 years. After 8th grade Lindsey did competitive dance with Port Huron High School for 4 years. In 2007, at the age of 20, she lost her sight due to a brain tumor. She didn't return back to the studio until 2018, when the adaptive class was created. Even though she lost her sight, she was determined to keep dancing. She wanted to share her love of dance and show others not to give up on their dreams just because they have a disability. She is grateful for this opportunity and to be able to share her love of dance with all of you. We admire Lindsey’s determination, and we love watching her dance…she’s unbelievable!!
And....Our teacher Miss.Ali, who shares the love of dance too! Ms. Ali grew up at The Dance Academy as well, and was a member of our competitive dance team for years before she went onto be a member of CMU University dance team, and a proud graduate. This beautiful set of ladies will do an awesome job with our adaptive dance class!!

To all who tagged over 1000 flags for us to hand out, practicing with us in the heat, decorating the float, and everything else done: before, during and after the parade… It made a perfect performance by The Dance Academy! Thank you everyone for celebrating America's 250th birthday with us!
