Happy National Band Director’s Day! 🎶
We’re so grateful to have band directors woven into the fabric of Especially Everyone — both as members of our EE Ensemble and as part of our team. These are people who have spent their careers doing what we believe in deeply: using music to bring people together.
To every band director out there — thank you for your patience, your passion, and your belief that music belongs to everyone. MusicTeacher EndLoneliness ConnectionThroughMusic PowerOfMusic EspeciallyEveryone

Today is National Acoustic Soul Day 🎶
Inspired by India Arie’s 2001 album Acoustic Soul, today we honor music in its rawest form and celebrate the feeling between the notes.

Kalin Wachsmuth on what makes a concert feel inclusive.

Not a definition - a lived experience.

Different ways of showing up.
Different ways of participating.
Different ways of feeling safe enough to stay.

As we celebrate neurodiversity this week, we’re reminded that it’s the voices of the community that shape the experiences we build together.

This week marks the start of Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

It’s an opportunity to pause and recognize something simple but powerful:

There is no single “normal” way for humans to experience the world.

Each of us moves through life with our own unique lens.

Too often, neurodiversity is misunderstood as a category - something that exists on one end of a spectrum. The reality is that every person exists somewhere across the full spectrum of human experience.

And when we begin to understand neurodiversity in that way, we start to see that it’s essential to building healthier, more vibrant, more connected communities.

So this week is a chance to recognize the many things that make us who we are - and to celebrate the richness of the human experience.
