When you get to work and find out the AC is off and has been for a while.

Texas summer heat is not joke, a building with no insulation on the walls is no joke and people will be here shortly to escape.

It might be the fastest escape ever, lol!

I think they deserve an icey when they are done.

FYI - new batteries was all that was needed for the thermostat but seriously it was 87f inside and the floor was sweating.

Thankfully got the AC going and fans ad it has cooled down again to bearable.

🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT – GALVESTON COUNTY 🔥

A Burn Ban is currently in effect, and it’s important that everyone understands what that means — especially those of us in the unincorporated areas of Galveston County, including the Bolivar Peninsula.

This is put in effect by the Galveston County Commissioners court, not the Fire Department.

🚫 The burn ban restricts outdoor burning. This means no burning brush, leaves, trash, debris, or other combustible materials outdoors.

🔥 Please don’t assume that a small fire is a safe fire. With dry conditions, one spark can quickly spread into grass, dunes, fields, or nearby property.

🏖️ If you’re on the Bolivar Peninsula, remember that Galveston County also specifically lists NO BONFIRES in its beach rules. (Galveston County⁠)

⚠️ A burn ban does not mean “no fire of any kind” in every circumstance. Certain activities may have different rules or exceptions, so if you are unsure whether something is allowed, check with Galveston County or your local fire department before lighting it.

Please help protect our homes, property, firefighters, and community.

When in doubt — don’t burn. 🔥🚫

We had the Float staff over this week to do a team building experience in our Code Red Rescue room. Great group of people, so if you are in Galveston on the seawall, drop in and tell them we suggested the place.
Team building is a great excuse to bring a group for an hour of fun.
