We are now taking reservations for our fall musical, Sanders Family Christmas. It is the sequel to last fall’s musical Smoke on the Mountain. Set on the verge of WWII the family shares their hilarious stories as they witness, once again, to the congregation of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. All your favorite characters return played by the same cast as last year. Didn’t attend last year’s show, no problem. The Sanders will get you up to speed in no time as they entertain you with songs and witnessing. Running November 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15. Friday and Saturday at 7:30, Sunday at 2:00.

*On Saturday, September 26 we welcome the songwriters from the Huron Country Songwriters Workshop at 7:00pm for their songwriters concert. Come support budding songwriters and the arts.

*Our fall musical, The Sanders Family Christmas, runs November 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15. The sequel to our popular musical from last fall (Smoke on the Mountain) brings back the Sanders Family on the brink of World War II. They spread their zany holiday cheer on the brink of a war in this heartwarming, albeit chaotic evening of holiday music and witnessing. Didn’t come to the show last year, no worries, you’ll be up to speed in no time as this family recaps their last visit to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Same fun cast, more terrific music.

November 29 at 2:00, our perennial Holiday Concert series arrives. Due to an illness (in our usual Sonas group) we are welcoming, for the first time, The Elderly Brothers Trio, for an afternoon of fun music and entertainment. Please join us in welcoming this new group to our theatre.

December 5, from 9:00-3:00, is our annual Silver Bells Vendor Market, featuring local vendors with great gift ideas for your holiday shopping.

December 6, our anticipated concert of the Bill Denbrock Big Band will close out the year for us. If you have heard them at open air venues, you are in for a real treat as they perform in our building. They fill the space with music at its best. Don’t miss these talented local musicians.

Another Great Event is in the books. Rain was a nuisance rather than a pain. The food and music were great. And we hope you had as fun as we did. Spending all day outside in the midst of the party is the best spot you can have at the Great Event, and you seemed to agree. Congratulations to all our winners. But win or lose it was a great time. Twenty plus years after Neil Simon wrote the original Odd Couple he decided to introduce a female version by the same name. Filled with the same humor and conflict, Florence (Sarah Greene) and Olive (Kris Kuziel) navigate their roles as new roommates with hilarious outcomes. With the help of their friends, played by, Grace Shearer and Emma Bruster, (making their debut on our stage,) and Charity Braitland and Alisa King (both returning to our stage again) these helpful friends help Florence on Olive survive their new living situation. Rounding out the cast are Thomas Lambertas and Mike Whalen as their unsuspecting dates. Reservations are now being taken by calling 989-738-5217. Show dates are August 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, and 16. Fridays and Saturdays 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm.
