WE EXPANDED THE ARCADE!! After months of planning and hard work, we are so thrilled to share some of the specifics.
In addition to a ton of new games, we stepped back and tried to design the place with the needs of our customers front of mind. Below are some of the highlights:
Our footprint is 50% bigger!! That's significant. And honestly, the long sightlines make it feel even bigger than that! We now have an entrance/exit in the north lobby of the building, close to the Fish Shack, where we'll eventually move our 2nd game card kiosk, hopefully leading to shorter wait times to get game cards.
We added about 10 new games yesterday/today, with another 5-6 on the way next week. Some of the new games include some great ticket games like Tower of Tickets, Milk Jug Toss, Batman Whack-a-Mole, Dispicable Me Jelly Lab, and Chameleon Paradize. Next week, we're bringing Let's Go Jungle, Minecraft Dungeons, Nerf Arcade, and more!
We added a HUGE professional photo booth that prints one 6x9 photo, two 4x6 photos, or four photo strips for $6. Also, you can choose your own background if you'd like. This booth is HUGE and will fit the whole family!
We moved games around such that our loudest games are in the back of the room, meaning the whole arcade experience should be a bit more pleasant to those sensitive to loud noise. The added space also seems to lower echo in the space, and the sound is significantly better balanced.
The party room now feels WAY more open, with one less wall. It will also be easier to chat with folks at your party as we moved our loud basketball game away from the area. We're also planning to bring in new party room furniture in the next few months.
We enclosed an office/storage room that will allow us to be better organized when responding to game issues, and will allow us to store more prizes for the redemption counter.
We have a few games leaving to make space for the new ones - we're removing Earthshaker (poor playfield) and revenge from mars (non-working for a while). You'll also see Venom pinball leave this week. But don't fret - we're replacing it with Godzilla by Stern, the top-rated pinball machine of all time according to pinside.com, for 4 years running! So, next week we'll continue to operate 3 top-of-the-line, modern pins.
We have professional signage coming in the next few weeks, to officially rebrand the space as "Legends Arcade".
Please note - while we are now OPEN, most of the new games haven't yet been turned on. We need to test them and install card readers. Some of the existing games also need some maintenance before turning back on. They'll all be coming online, piece by piece, throughout the week, and we expect most will be operational this weekend. Additionally, we have to set up the jukebox again, as that moved, so we'll likely be without music the next few days. But please pop in, and let us know what you think about the changes!
This was a huge lift for us, and we couldn't have done it without the incredible staff at the Wharf! They did a fantastic job with the new construction. We simply couldn't be happier with our space and hope to be a beacon of fun for years to come!
Lastly: While we haven't updated our website yet, we're creating a new party option for those who want to host a party with us, but don't want to provide pizza/drinks! For $150+tax, you can host a party at the arcade for 8 guests, which includes a $25 game card per person and exclusive use of our party area for 1.5 hours. You can bring your own food and cake, provided it's prepared by a licensed food service provider (ie: a grocery store or restaurant). If you have any questions or are interested in booking, please email [email protected].
