The Cage 14u Black ๐ฅRUNNER UP๐ฅ
2D Youth Baseball
Rice City Rumble
ONE LAST RIDE... ONE LAST TALK... and THEN IT HITS YOU....
This past weekend, our The Cage 14U Black team traveled to Lafayette to compete in 2D Youth Baseball's Rice City Rumble, closing the chapter on their travel ball journey together.
The fellas played some outstanding baseball all weekend and battled their way to the championship game. While they came up just short and finished as Runner-Up, they left with a little bling, a lot of pride, and memories that will last far longer than any trophy ever could.
As this chapter comes to an end, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to every player, parent, and coach who has been part of this journey. Thank you for the countless hours, late-night practices, long hot weekends, car rides, sacrifices, and unwavering support over the years.
From Coach Q's "quick" talks to the ups and downs that come with this game, every moment helped shape these young men into more than just baseball players. They learned about commitment, accountability, perseverance, and what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
The wins will fade, the scores will be forgotten, and the rings will eventually collect dust, but the friendships, lessons, and memories made along the way will last a lifetime. As these young men move on to the next stage of their baseball careers and lives, we hope they carry the message with them:
Be a great teammate. Work hard when nobody is watching. Respect the game. Embrace adversity. And always leave a place better than you found it.
Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your journey.
