Hadley raffle winners

Many of you might not know but a dear friend of mine has been driving back and forth to support her father through his unexpected last moments. Brittney Nicole Hadley not only juggles a local business, a classroom and family, but she also gives back in every single way possible to anyone who reaches out to her. Hadley Printing Co. has been the backbone of Breezy Inks merch (along with our baseball team and other graphic orders anyone has requested prints of from me).

Our friend over at Brooke Vermillion Photography has created and held a raffle for Brittney and her family and I couldn’t say it any better:

“Sadly, her daddy has now taken his last breath here on earth and gained his wings. 💔

Throughout this heartbreaking journey, Brittney has been so open and vulnerable, sharing not only what her family has been going through, but also the importance of having life insurance.

Unfortunately, her daddy did not have life insurance, and on top of grieving such an unimaginable loss, she is now facing the financial burden of laying him to rest.

No family should have to worry about how they’re going to afford a funeral while grieving the loss of someone they love.”

If you remember last year we went through something similar with my grandmother, it truly is the most difficult financial burden. Families should have room to grieve and celebrate life during this time, not stress over a final resting place and a ceremony to say goodbye.

For those that have sat in my chair during any community event, entered to win any fundraiser raffle or shared an idea session with me you KNOW how much this community means to me. If you know Brittney, you know she is one of the FIRST people to show up for others. She’s constantly supporting, giving, and helping wherever she can. She would give the shirt off her back without thinking twice.

As we approach opening week I step back to think how lucky I am to have the support of every single one of you. Each like, share, comment and follow mean more than words could ever say. My children and I are SO thankful.
