It’s been hard to find the right words knowing this post would be coming but as we come out of the Christmas and Holiday season all I can come up with is, thankful. As we head into 2025 I’m thankful for all the late nights, smiles, laughs, falls, ups, downs, friends, road trips, special celebrations, competitions, edits, festivals, and… family.

Backroom Boardshop & Skatepark started with this crazy vision Cody Stricklin and I had and evolved into something we could’ve never even imagined. I’ll be forever grateful for the memories made and the experiences that we’d always dreamed of somehow turning into reality. Countless hours of dedication to our dream led to one of the coolest spots Downtown Poplar Bluff has ever seen. It’s truly been an honor to take this ride with one of my best friends and the backbone of the PB skate scene. Cody, thank you for everything. I can’t put into words how much you carried this thing and made it the most enjoyable experience for me ever. Truly a dream come true thanks to you. I love you brother and I’ll forever be grateful for your friendship.

Unfortunately, due to multiple unforeseen circumstances out of our control and many discussions we have decided it is time to shut our doors. Our last day open will be January 3rd and we hope to see you everyday that we’re open till then. Cody and I could’ve never made any of this possible without all of your support over the years so, again, beyond thankful.

Although we may not have an address we will still be around and always be the old heads at the park hyping everyone up. We’ll see you around friends, don’t be strangers. SKATE OR DIE!!

We often offer used skateboard decks
(sometimes completes) at a fraction of the cost of New! This is usually a result of trial and error,meaning sometimes some(myself included lol) will buy a skateboard and just simply it won’t be the skateboard for them,which in result it’s then sold at next to nothing! More often than not these *Used skateboards are still what I would consider good to go. If you have the rest of the components this is by far your best option to get a used but good professional quality skateboard to get you back out there! Of course if you need the components we got those too 👍

Should also note these skateboards are also very good for you crafty folks,I’ve seen plenty of used skateboards turned into jewelry,furniture,shoot I even have a buddy who built a guitar out of one! That’s just cool haha. But regardless of what your plans are for it we have em,Come get em!!
