The Inaugural Folk Music Festival Presented by Dogwood Music Productions
As we build the first annual Dogwood Folk Music Festival, it is incredible to see how the vision has evolved. Day 2 is shaping up to be even more diverse than Day 1, and everything is coming together beautifully. Throughout this process, I’ve found myself fluidly shifting roles—moving from music event planner to promoter almost every single day to bring this vision to life.
It is clear that our event is raising the bar, encouraging others in the region to step up their game as well. We welcome that energy. A few small details were recently brought to my attention by close observers of our progress, and we are dialing those in. It’s rewarding to see how a simple, original idea has grown. What started as a modest, 1-day singer-songwriter showcase has expanded into a full 2-day event. With Day 1 completely booked and Day 2 quickly filling up, this inaugural year is on track to become one of the premier music festivals in Northern Mississippi.
Ultimately, our mission remains simple and true to its roots: "All original, all the time."
