It’s week 2 of summer break and we’ve been in the pools, at the beaches, and making memories with friends. My Après Sea trucker hat has been a staple and goes with everything. Plus I’m obsessed with everything Beach and Shell related.

I am downright giddy over this piece.

I was walking the beach one morning on vacation with my sister and my husband and I stopped to take a picture of the most perfect cabana setup. I tweaked the composition a bit, but the vibe remains.

If you’re in Indian rocks beach, check out .cabanaclub because the setup was made for the “Salty Gals”. And that’s what I have lovingly named this piece.

A mom’s retreat. A quiet place to read. A spot to recharge. Everything a gal needs to escape.

But it IS all sunshine and rainbows with this piece.

And guess whose house it’s going in…MINE!
I painted this for my outdoor living space so for now it’s going to dry and cure for two weeks in the studio before I varnish both sides and frame it.

But I love this. I wanted fun, two dimensional, simple palette (to match my pillows obv) the extension of our home.

What do you think about this style vs my usual?
It was so much fun to play and explore another vibe.

Slow mornings at the beach have become part of my creative process.

Coffee in hand, shelling “for inspiration,” and mentally turning little moments into future paintings 🌊☕️🐚

And honestly… this might be my favorite kind of research.
