I originally started folding cranes in 2011 as part of a "peace project" with the students at Oaks Montessori School in Hammond, LA. After creating our third chain of 1,000 cranes that spring, I became fascinated with the idea of using cranes to create different art pieces.

"Silver Lining"

24 hand-painted silver origami cranes mounted on a crayon melt and framing Totoro painted in acrylic. The crayon hearts used for the melt were created by Lauren as part if her Valentines this year.
