What is the Chaffee County Fair Junior Market Livestock Auction?

Have you ever wondered what the Junior Market Livestock Auction is all about? It’s more than an auction—it’s your chance to invest in the future of our community.

Our local 4-H members spend months raising, caring for, and learning about their market animals while developing responsibility, work ethic, leadership, and financial skills. When you purchase an animal, you’re supporting these hardworking young people and helping fund their future projects, education, and agricultural experiences.

New to buying? Don’t worry! We’d love to have you join us. Come to the Buyers Reception before the auction to learn how it works, ask questions, and meet the exhibitors. Whether you’re a business owner, family, or community member, first-time buyers are always welcome!

Be sure to check out our Silent Auction, featuring incredible projects handcrafted by our talented youth, including furniture, leatherwork, welding, photography, woodworking, quilting, sewing, arts, crafts, and more.
