Colorado Springs — what a trip! 🤠🌸

We packed up I C UNIQUE and headed west for the Wild West Hand & Homemade Expo this weekend.

Was it our best show? Nope. 😂 Sometimes you travel a long way, set up the whole booth, bring all the things…and the sales just aren’t what you hoped they’d be. That’s part of this crazy little handmade-business life, too.

But this trip reminded me that success isn’t always what rings through the register.

We met some wonderful people, spent time with our Colorado cousins (with a mandatory stop at Rudy’s for some BBQ!), saw the absolutely breathtaking Royal Gorge, laughed until we hurt, and were treated to the most beautiful rainbow.

And through it all, Wendee and I did what we always seem to do — made a memory out of it.

Every show teaches us something. Every mile takes I C UNIQUE a little farther than I ever imagined it would go. And even the weekends that don’t turn out the way we planned become part of this story we’re building together.

Colorado, you were beautiful.

Now it’s time to point this operation toward home, get back into the shop, and start getting ready for the AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City on September 26–27!
