It’s hard to film when my workshop is full of orders to fill, molds to unmold, and topcoats to apply. But today I propped up my phone and captured a time-lapse.

What you see is 90 seconds of seamless magic.

What you don’t see are the 90 minutes spent selecting each tiny flower, trimming every petal, and carefully arranging all the little pieces that come together to fill a two-inch initial charm. Every bloom has a purpose. Every layer is intentional.

And honestly? I love every minute of the process.

The butterfly in this video is for Dolly. A small reminder that even in a broken world, beauty still finds a way to heal a broken heart. 🦋🌸💗

Where do I get my flowers? — Part II 🌻

My mother-in-law has flower gardens all over the farm. Apparently, she passed that gardening gene on to Wendee.

Last fall, Wendee rescued a dying sunflower plant from a nearby ditch and laid it between the grain bins.

Fast forward to this year… just look at what came back. 🌻💛

Nature has a way of surprising you. And yes… some of these blooms will eventually find their way into my resin art.

I don't know what took me so long to use this. While it doesn't get rid of the inevitable bubbles created when you add dried flowers, it gives you a clear canvas and a fighting chance!

“Blessed Assurance” is almost complete! I've been wanting to add more to my memorial floral pieces - things that remind a loved one of the person they’ll miss. An open hymnal on a piano touches my little Lutheran heart in so many ways. What music would be on your piano?
