Ponca Playhouse Live Community Theater For many years, The Playhouse has sought to keep its productions quality high by hiring professional directors.

Playhouse volunteers have the opportunity to learn from these directors, who are typically known for their teaching abilities, as well as their skill in producing superior productions. Some directors are hired for their skill in set design, their work with beginning actors or children, or their knowledge of a particular style of play. Playhouse volunteers and audience members alike, benefit from each director’s professional experience. The Ponca Playhouse is very much a community theater in that they are constantly integrating new volunteers into the organization. The Playhouse has been known over the years as a very “civic” organization. It provides actors and technical people for many activities going on about town. An especially memorable contribution provided to the city is the Marland Mansion tableaux presented at the Mansion and at various sites around Ponca City. The Playhouse actors and technical people come from all walks of life and from all experience levels. Novices are welcome at all times. The Ponca Playhouse has an open casting policy, so everyone has a fair chance at all auditions

The Ponca Playhouse was thrilled to host a portion of today's Arts and Culture Day for Leadership Ponca City! A huge thank you to Leadership Ponca City for inviting us to be part of this special day.

Community leaders were amazed by the Playhouse's costume and prop stock, and were treated to a sneak peek of our next production, Clue, by the wonderful J.P. Mays!

Sharing Ponca City's community theater with our community leaders is always a true joy. Thank you, Leadership Ponca City, for celebrating the arts and culture that make our community so special!

The game is afoot at the Ponca Playhouse! We are thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Clue, written by Sandy Rustin (based on the hilarious Paramount Pictures motion picture).

We gathered the usual suspects this evening for our first read-through, and let me tell you...this cast is killer. 😉

Get ready for a night of madcap mystery, laughs, and maybe a few murders.

Ponca Playhouse will present CLUE November 13-15 & 20-22, 2026! Tickets will be available in late October, but in the meantime, it's not too late to catch one of our final performances of MOON OVER BUFFALO this weekend, or get your Season Membership (and members get to reserve seats before tickets go on sale to the public!). "Extra, extra! Once-in-a-blue moon offer TONIGHT!" Ponca Playhouse announces a Pay What You Can event for MOON OVER BUFFALO!

On Thursday, September 24th the Playhouse is offering a special chance to see Ken Ludwig's MOON OVER BUFFALO, for a price that would be sure to make Mr. Capra smile! For just a $5 minimum you can buy your tickets ahead at https://poncaplayhouse.ludus.com, or walk in on the night of the show and pay whatever your heart desires for your ticket! But don't wait... we know this offer will be popular and we cannot guarantee there will still be seats available for walk-in on Thursday night!

To take advantage of this option, just visit the ticketing site at the link above, select your seats and then select the Pay What You Can ticket level in the drop-down menu. Pay just $5 per ticket... or enter a custom price above that minimum to support the Playhouse! Walk-in customers on Thursday will be given best-available seating on a first-come, first-served basis! Offer valid for September 24th performance only. The Box Office will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 as usual.

Ponca Playhouse is thrilled to announce Open Auditions for our production of CLUE by Sandy Rustin, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn.
