ArtHall presents the Culinary Artistry of Black Swan Special Events on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the CRA Business Resource Center, 50 NE 1st Street, Pompano Beach. Black Swan encourages you to “Be a Guest at Your Own Event”; and offers catering, planning and specialty music services for your wedding, party, reunion or meeting.

Join us as Chef Revella Hadley of Black Swan shares some secrets for the holidays! Thanksgiving is around the corner, come learn how to make a Spinach Pie. For that post-Thanksgiving meal, create your own Luscious Leftover! Music by the Motowners, wine and hors d’oeuvres will keep this party lively!

“Double Vision”, a solo photography exhibition of Jeremiah Jenner’s sleek and minimalistic limited editions remains in the “Hall” for your visual delight. Each unique image captures the vibrancy and imagination of the elemental colors and energy of nature and gritty cityscapes, such as water, wind and metallic reflections.

Bailey Contemporary Arts’ Lime Light will be offering Beer, Blues and Barbeque right on the same street on the same night, at the same time!

These events are free, family and pet friendly. Community participation is welcome. The public is encouraged to visit the Business Resource Center, Mon-Fri, 9-5 to enjoy the artwork for the month long duration of each exhibit. For more information call 954-586-1111.

EMV & SQUARE – WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Your small business needs to start using, or optimize your merchant services, i.e., accepting credit cards. Should you utilize Square or a traditional merchant account? Learn to navigate the process of accepting credit cards and keeping the fees manageable. Find out if square is right for you or if your business is ready to have its own merchant account. EMV – what does it mean? What does your business need to do? Why is my business getting calls saying we are not “compliant?” How much will it cost? Get all these questions answered!

BUSINESS INSURANCE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
Panel presentation by experts in the field to discuss commercial and residential insurance coverage geared to the small and home based business owner. Specific topics will include the Business Owners Property (BOP) form, the most common for small business owners; liability insurance; what deductibles, endorsements and coverages are most needed by particular businesses; Business Interruption and Loss of Income. We will review the insured’s responsibilities and discuss filing a claim and negotiating with the insurance company. The panel will consist of a representative of an Insurance Consulting firm and two Insurance Adjusters, with a combined expertise to make sure that we cover all bases! These individuals and companies do not SELL insurance; therefore, they can offer independent, unbiased information and guidance regarding policies and claims. Attendees are welcome to bring their policies for individual review!
