30 years ago tonight, The Cramps played The Glass House.
Sunday, October 27, 1996. Lux Interior, Poison Ivy, Slim Chance and Harry Drumdini, still touring their 1994 record Flamejob, in our very first year open.
No Doubt opened this room in January 1996, and in the 30 years since, this old Thrifty drugstore on Second Street has hosted some of the wildest nights in punk, metal, indie and everything in between. The Cramps were one of the first legends through the doors, and they set the tone for everything that came after.
