Join us for the art reception opening in collaboration with MMFA / AJ Studio
๐๏ธ Date: Saturday, September 16
โฐ Time: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
The exhibition features a diverse range of series, each a testament to James' masterful exploration of art, science, and spirituality.
Anthony James' Morphic Fields unveils a mesmerizing collection of bronze and limestone pieces inspired by scientist Rupert Sheldrake's theory of morphic resonance. James breathes life into found materials, converting waste into bronze, as he delves into the interconnectedness of self-organizing systems and collective human experience. The sculptures bear witness to the profound creative process, transcending individuality to touch the realms of collective memory.
Stepping into the realm of Portals and Platonic Solids, audiences encounter an exquisite fusion of stainless steel, glass, and LED lights. Internationally acclaimed, these sculptures embody James' quest to reveal and share truth, expressing science, spirituality, and philosophy in pure, unfiltered form. Through an ingenious use of materials and light, he materializes the ethereal concepts of infinity and cosmos into tangible, objective existence.
Presented by Melissa Morgan Fine Art (MMFA) and the Kellogg University Art Gallery, this collaboration promises an extraordinary showcase of talent and creativity. MMFA has been a champion of contemporary artists for over 23 years, representing over 30 international artists working across various mediums.
๐ Don't miss this transformative exhibition that transcends boundaries and ignites the cosmic encounter of art and ideas. Join us in celebrating the artistic journey of Anthony James!!

๐ธ Our LA Art Excursion Update! ๐จ
We're thrilled to announce that our visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) was a huge success! We're grateful to LACMA for their generous proposed donation of sculpture stands to our galleries. These stands will undoubtedly enhance our Ink & Clay Collection in our University Library exhibit coming later this year ๐คฉ๐
While at LACMA, we immersed ourselves in the world of art, gaining inspiration and refreshing our creative spirits during the summer break. LACMA's vast array of art pieces spans across different countries, cultures, and artistic movements! One of the shows that deeply resonated with us was "Afro-Atlantic Histories." This remarkable exhibition delves into the profound impact of the transatlantic slave trade and its enduring influence on the African diaspora. Through a captivating dialogue spanning centuries and continents, the artworks on display shed light on the histories, stories of enslavement, resilience, and the ongoing struggle for liberation. Swipe to see our favorite art piece from this show, the mirrored map of "North America + Africa"!!
Our journey continued as we explored the vibrant art scene in Hollywood. The Hauser & Wirth gallery offered us an extraordinary glimpse into contemporary art, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. The most interesting exhibition at this gallery was, Womxn in Windows: 'American Gurl' that shows the American Dream through the eyes of women. Co-curated by Zehra Zehra and Kilo Kish, 'American Gurl' presents a curated project of video art, film, and performance! We explored the nuances of the Black feminine experience and re-imagine beauty, success, freedom, and power in America. This exhibition is a celebration of diverse perspectives!
Lastly, the Aline Barnsdall Hollyhock House, designed by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, left us in awe of its architectural marvel. We soaked in the history and grandeur of this iconic landmark.
๐ฏ๏ธDon't miss the chance to experience the captivating world of art in LA!
